Walk for Waste 2017 – Scafell Pike
WasteAid UK’s popular fundraiser, the Walk for Waste is back – this time with a trek to England’s highest peak, Scafell Pike. The hike will raise awareness and funds for WasteAid UK, which shares waste management and recycling skills with communities around the globe.
What: The Walk for Waste will follow a 12km route up Scafell Pike, the highest peak in England. Sponsored walkers get to experience the breathtaking views of the Lake District and enjoy sunset at the summit, 975 metres above sea level.
When: Saturday 15 July.
Where: Scafell Pike, Lake District.
Why: Join us to raise funds for WasteAid UK so we can continue sharing waste management expertise with those who really need it. We’re inviting entries from teams to add an element of competition and excitement to the event. This is a fantastic opportunity to get fit, have fun, and support a very worthy cause.
How: To enter as a team or by yourself simply email email@example.com to register. Please note the following important points:
- Walkers are responsible for transport to and from the start/end point.
- The walk is strenuous and should only be undertaken by those with reasonable levels of fitness.
- We engage the service of fully trained and equipped professional guides, using standard ratios.
- Cost of entry (to cover cost of guides): £20 for individual sign ups and £18pp for groups of 5 or more.
